One of my favorite families!

What can I say about this family? Or maybe I should say, where do I start? In the summer of 2000, I met this beautiful and sweet young lady when I was blessed with the opportunity to take her senior pictures. It was so much fun getting to meet her and her momma. Fast forward to 2005, I got the call that this same young lady was getting married. In 2006, I was blessed to work with a wonderful family again, but this time I got to spend several hours with the whole Kistler/Tinsmas families while capturing Rustin and Kayla's wedding. Now, this was the first time to my knowledge that I had met the groom, and let me tell you, he was a HOOT to work with. Now... in my several years of doing weddings, I had worked with many a groom, and most were tolerant and pretty much did whatever I requested. Rustin, however, was the life of the party, lol. He may or may not have gotten a little ornery a time or two throughout the day, but the best part was watching him with his beautiful bride. Their love was shining bright that day and every day since. A few years following their wedding, they welcomed the sweetest little boy. I have been blessed to capture all of the milestones along the way and watch that sweet little baby boy grow into a very tall young man who is a little bit of Rustin and a little bit of Kayla.
I cannot even begin to explain how much my heart grows when I get to be part of families' such precious memories as young families start and grow over the years. These families are what make me who I am, and I so love seeing each and every one of them when they come back to see me.
Travis will be a senior in a couple of weeks, which is so hard to believe, but this is the last year I will get to take his picture on a yearly basis. When Kayla reached out to me a few months ago about discussing Travis' senior pictures, she had many questions, as most first-time moms do, even for someone who has been to my studio many, many times. We discussed his sports, their ideas of what they were wanting, and then... Kayla shared a picture with me and asked if we could recreate it with Travis. Much to my surprise... I had taken Rustin's senior pictures in 1996 when I worked at Jerry's Photography. Now, I did not remember this, so I was definitely shocked that I never knew this. Thank you so much, Rustin, Kayla, and Travis (and Brooke too) for choosing me to once again capture such a special time in your lives. You all truly mean the world to me for some many more reasons then I could ever fit in this blog post.
