Thank you for visiting my site today.  Let me introduce myself.  My name is Lori Welk and I have lived in Carroll county my entire life.  I have had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember.  As a sophomore in high school I started working at Jerry's photography in Monticello.  In 1997 after 7 years at Jerry's I decided I needed to find my own path.  June 1, 1997 Portraits by Lori was opened.  We moved to our new location in September of  2003 and currently are celebrating our 27th year in business.  I am guessing if you have read this far you are wondering why it says our/we.  I have been able to build this successful business with the love and support for my extended family, my amazing, supportive and loving husband a children.  But none of this would be possible without out the many blessings that my Lord Savior Jesus Christ has showered on me.
